
Patricia McNally
Patricia McNally began her dance training in the Tampa Bay area. Studying ballet/jazz under her mother, Elaine Forestier; she continued under Margaret Bryant, Mary Alice Hall, Haydee Gutierrez, and Michelle Starbuck before training in New York with Finis Jhung, Michael Owens, Michelle Assaf and others. Ms. McNally has toured and performed in the Broadway shows “ Sophisticated Ladies”, “Cats”, “Lil’Abner”, “Fiddler on the Roof” and many others. She has also performed leading roles such as Sarah Brown in “Guys and Dolls”, Mrs. Molloy in “Hello Dolly”, and Bonnie in “Applause.
Since returning to the Tampa Bay area, Patricia has taken the position of artistic director at Patricia Ann Dance Studios in Dunedin, where she teaches ballet, pointe, lyrical and hip hop. Patricia coordinates the studio’s competitive team of dancers between the ages of 7-18. She has also taught a dance technique program at Dunedin High School as well as choreographing for the high school’s musical theater program. Ms. McNally has served as an adjudicator for The Heritage Arts Talent Search and the Ruth Eckerd Hall Scholarship Foundation.
Ms. McNally also spends many volunteer hours in the public school system speaking on dance, the arts and their place in our society as a means of discipline for the body and the mind in guiding our young people to realize their potential.
Elaine Forestier
Elaine Forestier relocated to Dunedin, Florida in 1960, after a successful career as a professional dancer. In January of 1961 she opened the Patricia Ann Dance Studio and began the forty year journey of providing students with professional dance instruction. In addition to her work at the studio, Ms. Forestier also established herself as a choreographer. She has choreographed for the Gulf Coast Operetta Guild, Francis Wilson Playhouse, Clearwater City Players, Richey Suncoast Theater, Royalty Theater, Tides Dinner Theater, and the Avenue Players. Ms. Forestier has also done extensive outreach for youth in the community with the Dunedin High School and the St Petersburg Concert Ballet.
Ms. Forestier has served on the Junior League of Dunedin-Clearwater. She has acted as President for the Pinellas County Dance Teachers Association and as regional director for the Chicago National Dance Masters. She was also responsible for directing and choreographing the Annual “Tap Off” held at the St. Petersburg Pier in honor of National Dance week.
Throughout her Prolific career, Elaine Forestier has received many awards. She has received Five Lary Awards for her choreography in community theater. She received the “Neil Edwards Vision Cable” award for excellence in community theatre. In 1995, she was awarded the “Marcelle Oldershaw Life Time Achievement Award” for dedication to excellence in community theatre.
Morgan Angelillis
Morgan Angelillis has been on the staff of PADS for 7 years as an Int/Adv Tap instructor as well as choreographing for the competitive team. Ms. Angelillis has studied tap under Debbie Dee, Avi Miller and Ofer Ben, and Brian Santora. She continues her education in tap by taking master Classes from Master Instructors at the Chicago Human Rhythm Project and Tap City the NY Tap Festival. Morgan is also a member of the International Tap Association. In 2005, Ms. Angelillis’s tap piece "Chair Dance" won the Best Execution for International Dance Challenge. The piece was also chosen as one of eleven dances featured in the 2005 IDC National promotional video. In 2007, her piece "Fascinating Rhythm" won Best Technical Execution And High Scoring small group at Dance America. In 2008, at Dance America Nationals her tap duet "ALL IN" was chosen to perform in Disney World’s Tomorrowland. Ms. Angelillis is the founder and Artistic Director of Tapped IN, a youth/young adult tap performance ensemble.
Matt Sear
Matthew started in show business by accident literally by accident, when Matthew was just an infant he fell on a glass jug and ended up almost losing his left arm. For therapy he started taking acrobatics, then tap, so on and so forth. Winning his first competition at age 7 in NYC. And landing himself with an agent he started working immediately.
Matthew got his equity card at age 9 performing in "A Broadway Baby" directed and choreographed by Tommy Walsh and Byork Lee, original cast members of "A Chorus Line". From there he went on to star in the lead at Radio City Music Hall in "A Disney Summer Magic". Matthew has performed with Shari Lewis and Lambchop and with Thomas The Tank Engine and company, on the White House Lawn, and all around the country. His other theatre accomplishments include "George M", at Carousel Dinner Th. Akron OH, "Good News" North Shore Music Th. MA. "My Fair Lady" Brooklyn NY.
Ending up on the open waters performing on Norwegian Cruise lines, and on Italian Cruise line Costa cruises where Matthew met Alison and ultimately got married and settled away from show business. Now they enjoy teaching at the Patricia Ann Dance Studio and passing on all of their great experiences.
Alison Sear
Alison began dancing in her hometown in England at the age of 2, training at The Southeast Theatre School. She performed her first professional show at age 6 in a tour of "Scrooge", from age 9-11 starred in "The Sound of Music" in the West End as Louisa Von Trapp with Petula Clarke, on to her second West End show "Bugsy Malone" with director Micky Dolenz (The Monkee’s).
From there Alison performed in a UK Tour of ”Matchstick Men” who she worked side by side with Christian Bale (Batman), then she performed for Prince Charles in "The Royal Variety Performance" West End. At the age of 15 Alison was picked by Nigel Lythgoe (So You Think You Can Dance) to win the London Tap Awards, after which she joined a cabaret group "Bubbly" performing all over the UK.
Next Alison worked on her first cruise ship for choreographer Irving Davis who was one of Fred Astaire's dancers. Back on tour she went with Julian McMahon (Niptuck) in Home and Away The Musical understudied and played the role of "Viv", straight into Me and My Girl West End, understudy to the lead role "Sally". For the next 5 years Alison worked for Jean Ann Ryan as Dance Captain on board numerous Cruise Ships where she met her hubbie and best friend Matt. We are both very happy and excited to be here teaching at the Patricia Ann Dance Studio!
Elizabeth Featherstone
Elizabeth Featherstone is a graduate of New World School of the Arts with a BFA in dance from the University of Florida. Additionally, she has studied with the Atlanta Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet and the Joffrey Ballet. Ms. Featherstone performed professionally with the Millennium Dance Syndicate a modern company in Miami. Ms. Featherstone joined the staff of PADS in 2000 as the Int/Adv. Ballet and Pointe instructor. She choreographs and coaches for the studio competition team. Ms. Featherstone has also helped to create the annual children’s summer musical program for the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Clearwater.
