Class Placement:
Students are placed in classes with regard to age and skill level. Therefore, students with previous dance experience will need to call for an audition time. This will allow the faculty to evaluate the new student and place them in an appropriate class. No fee will be charged for the evaluation class(s).

Attendance:
Students are expected to be present at all scheduled classes. If a student is ill, please call the studio. There are NO refunds for missed classes. Make up classes are available, please call for an appropriate make up class time.
Students are expected to be at their classes on time. Each portion of the class is important to the development of the dance student. If a student is ten or more minutes late for a class, the instructor may have the student observe the remainder of class.

Dress Code:
Ballet
Girls: Pink tights with a plain colored leotard. Pink ballet shoes or pointe shoes (for Int/Adv Levels) Leg warmers and skirts can be worn at center. Hair should be in a neat, secure bun.
Boys: Black tights/ fitted jazz pants with a white t shirt. Black ballet shoes. Hair off face.

Jazz/Lyrical
Leotards, sport tanks with fitted jazz pants (colors okay). Black/ Tan soft jazz shoes. Hair secured away from face.

Tap
Sport tanks, t shirts with jazz, yoga or workout pants. Black leather oxford style tap shoes. Hair secured away from face.

Hip Hop
Sport tanks, shirts or t shirts with jazz, yoga or workout pants. Sneakers, any style. Hair secured away from face. We also recommend some sort of knee pads for the floor work.

Parent Observation:
Parents will be able to attend two designated observation weeks. All other requests for observation must be approved by the class instructor prior to the class.

Evaluations:
Students’ progress is monitored throughout the year in their classes. At the end of each semester, teachers can be contacted to schedule a conference if a parent would like an evaluation.
At the conclusion of the recital, all students will be evaluated by the faculty for continued appropriate class placement.

Annual Schedule:
Our calendar follows the Pinellas county school calendar for the Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring Breaks. We also honor Labor Day and Memorial Day. With the above mentioned exceptions, classes are continuous.
In the event of inclement weather, please call the studio for the schedule adjustments.

Registration:
To register for dance classes, please come to one of the studios to fill out a registration form and submit a $30.00 registration fee. Upon registering, the student will be given class times or scheduled for a placement class(s). Beginner dancer registrations will be accepted for August, January and June placements. Students with dance experience can be placed throughout the year upon evaluation.

Competition Team:
Students interested in our dance team must attend an audition class. Audition classes will be held in May and August for team placement in the next school year. The competition team was begun to encourage and nurture those students with a desire to take their dance studies beyond class. Competition offers these students the opportunity to increase their skill level and performance abilities. Team members are divided into levels. Each level has a mandatory schedule of dance technique classes in addition to their rehearsal schedules. The team is divided into the following ages and levels.

Minis 7-8yrs.
Juniors 9-11yrs.
Intermediates 12-14yrs.
Seniors 15+yrs.
